Our Care Delivery team consists of care coaches and care advocates who help our members navigate digital care and access the tools to unlock their best experience and outcomes. What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Bring:

• 1- 2+ years experience in health coaching or clinical work (e.g., nursing, behavioral health, or related field) with focus on patient education, motivational interviewing, and driving clinical outcomes
• Demonstrated experience working with the maternity population and/or individuals navigating family planning or fertility care (trying to conceive, undergoing fertility treatment)
• Training and experience coaching individuals to achieve specific health outcomes (ie, medication management, nutrition and exercise goals, managing blood pressure)

Beyond individual claim accuracy, you will analyze provider behavior to identify schemes such as record cloning, upcoding, and unbundling that may be invisible to automated systems. As a clinical subject matter expert, you will act to translate audit findings into relevant education. You will facilitate professional discussions with colleagues and providers to correct billing behaviors and promote long-term compliance. You will partner with clinical and non-clinical investigators to build evidentiary files for potential recovery, legal action, or referrals to appropriate outside agencies.

You will report into the Investigations Manager, SIU.

Work Location: This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square) or our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), you will be expected to come into the office at least three days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.  Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule.

The base pay for this role in the states of New Jersey and New York is: $75,348 - $98,894 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $67,813 - $89,004 per year.  You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and conduct clinical audits into suspected FWA with high autonomy
• Document findings, to include formal reports, graphs, audit logs, and other supporting documentation.
• Metrics to align with unit goals.
• Participate in the development and presentation of FWA-related education for Oscar teams
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 3+ years of direct patient care clinical experience. Case Management experience a bonus.
• 2+ years of experience in Medical Review, Utilization Management, or Clinical Documentation Improvement, featuring demonstrated expertise in the forensic application of complex clinical guidelines (e.g., MCG, CMS, and specialty-specific professional organizations) to multifaceted medical records.
• Experience conducting forensic medical audit with a focus on validating that clinical narrative supports the specificity and necessity of billed CPC, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.

Bonus points:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration, Clinical Informatics, or a related Medical Science field, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 5+ years of specialized clinical audit experience.
• Experience working in health insurance with competency regarding claims processing, billing, reimbursement, or provider contracting.
• Experience delivering feedback or education to providers/physicians in a professional, non-confrontational, and persuasive manner.
• Identifying trends, for example “cloned documentation” or change in billing habits of a provider.
• Experience with HIPAA, data privacy, and/or data security processes
• Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AHFI), or similar.

About the Role

• Deliver remote, evidence-based therapy to adult clients (18+), practicing modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, TLDP, IPT, EFT, and MI.
• Maintain a caseload of 7-20 attended ongoing therapy sessions per week
• Use data to drive effective treatment and adjust your approach based on client progress
• Collaborate with other mental health providers as needed and refer clients when appropriate
• Maintain progress notes and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations

Requirements

• License: Active license and in good standing as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in Arizona
• Cross-licensure: Willing and motivated to become licensed in other states. We will cover the cost.
• Caseload: Available for 8-24 hours per week, with 85% of time in client sessions. Sessions will include ongoing therapy appointments and assessments for new clients.
• Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience with adults (18+), at least six months of teletherapy experience, and proficient with clinical assessments (e.g., PHQ-9) for tracking client progress
• Tech: At least six months of teletherapy experience and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Schedule: Select 7-10 session hours between 8am and 9pm PST, Monday through Friday. Available during regular business hours for a minimum of 1 hour per week during the first 6 weeks for training, followed by 30 minutes per month for ongoing support.
• Documentation: All documentation to be completed, signed, and locked in EMR within 48 hours of client contact. Option to use an AI-assist tool.

Responsibilities

• Considered as the primary point of contact for the investigative site, provides contextual information on the clinical trials, connects stakeholder to the investigative sites and strengthens AbbVie’s positioning.
• Aligns, trains and motivates the site staff and principal investigator under supervision on the goals of the clinical trial program, protocol, and patient treatment principles for the trial ensuring a trusted partnership.

• Fundamental level of competency connecting the study protocol, scientific principles and clinical trial requirements to the day-to-day clinical trial execution activities. Evaluate and ensure effective recruitment and retention techniques/plans based on the patient disease journey.

Develop solid knowledge of therapeutic area, asset and clinical landscape / patient journey to enable successful patient recruitment and overall protocol compliance.

• Responsible for continuous risk-assessment proactively, and in collaboration with Central Monitoring team, monitor activities conducted by clinical sites to detect early overall study performance or patient safety issues. Ability to think critically to resolve site risk signals while having robust understanding of site processes to drive study execution.
• Ensures preventative and corrective action plans are put into place, as needed, to mitigate risk and promote compliance using a customer centric approach.
• Identifies, evaluates and recommends new/potential investigators/sites under supervision and support from more experienced CRAs.
• Ensures quality of data submitted from study sites and assures timely submission of data, including appropriate reporting and follow-up for all safety events by site personnel.
• Ensures audit and regulatory inspection readiness at assigned clinical site at all times.

Manages investigator payments as per executed contract obligations, as applicable.

Candidates from the Southwest, Southeast and Northeast regions and near a major airport strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in health related disciplines (Medical, Scientific, Nursing) preferred or experience or equivalent work experience.
• Clinically related experience, preferably in clinical research coordinating or data management.
• Knowledge of appropriate therapeutic area indications is preferred with the ability to understand and apply scientific concepts as they relate to the conduct of clinical trials.
• Knowledge on existing and emerging local regulatory and legal requirements, ICH/GCP Guidelines and applicable policies.
• Able to work collaboratively and cross functionally to develop and sustain working relationships.

Demonstrate planning and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment with competing projects and deadlines
